End of an Era

How does one ruin a spectacular show? You send most (but not all) of its cast to another country. Once there, you lose key cast members to other shows. Meanwhile, you replace the beloved original cast with people who may have popular faces, but lack the emotion and genuine connection that the original cast had... and thus lose your audience in the process. What happens then? Both shows flounder and eventually close.

Curtain closes on Hair @ the Gielgud on September 4th.
Curtain closes on Hair @ the Al Hirschfeld on June 27th.

*sob* I... I don't even know what I'm feeling right now. I want my "Hair" back!

I've always been a fan of the musical, so I COULD NOT wait when I found out it was coming to London with the Broadway cast!!

OMG though, Steel was ON FIRE last night! I have found a new level of love for him!!! His chemistry with Gavin is brilliant and his singing was SO MUCH better than Tuesday!

OMG, OMG, OMG!!!!

Apparently someone was listening to my prayers on Wednesday (or was reading my LJ -- one way or anther ^_^)! Paris was on for Claude tonight! *SQUEEEEE!!!*
