In other news, you must all go read this fic: The Release by

zoicite. Now. I don't care if you've seen Prometheus Bound or not. If you have a passing knowledge of Greek mythology, you will understand it. In her own words:

"Essentially, this is Aeschylus's Prometheus Bound, about the punishment of the Greek god who stole fire and gave it to humans, presented as an immersive rock musical. Prometheus (Gavin Creel) is chained to a 'rock' for the duration of the show, half naked and very sweaty, and is visited by various other characters who taunt and torment him.

About halfway through the show Prometheus is visited by Oceanos (Michael Cunio), who basically goes all seducer on him and then offers to go to Zeus on Prometheus's behalf (most likely because he wants Prometheus for himself as some kind of sex slave. I'm just saying. That's how it read on stage - or on Oceanos's ladder, whatever).

So anyway, naturally I wrote fic."

Saw the MDQ understudies at the mall today. Very much fun! Dan Mills is adorable, both as himself and as Carl Perkins. ^_^ Glad I got to see him do the part again. ^_^ And Lance's understudy has a gorgeous voice, too. As much as I never want to miss Lance in the show (Ack, it's the Gavin in Hair dilemma all over again!), I'd love to see what he does with the whole part. *_* And, dude... he totally fangirled with me over Lance in the Last Starfighter when I talked to him afterwords... and he has a shirt with Lance on it from that movie that he wears to work! XD Awesome! XD

OK, what else...? I'm down another jeans size. ^_^ Think I gained weight, though. Not sure how that works. *shrugs* Not sure I care. ;) Then again, the way I've been eating the last two weeks... yikes. I deserve to gain weight. *chuckles* Worth every damned bite, though. ^___________^ And my mom's been holding out on me! Apparently, she knows the secret to the Priscilla pistachio cupcake! So, we're going to have pistachio cake for my birthday and I'm going to find a recipe for pistachio buttercream that I can lighten up a little and put that, confetti sprinkles and edible glitter on top. I will have Priscilla Cake for my birthday!! :D :D (Don't worry, I'll take pictures. ^_~)

R-chan: *sits Nuriko and Tasuki down and scowls*

Nuriko: *fidgets*

Tasuki: *looks like he may say something, then settles down*

R-chan: *crosses arms over her chest* Whatever the problem is, I don't care. Just sort it out between you and then let me know what you decide. I'm trying to help you out, but you've got to meet me halfway, all right?

Nuriko/Tasuki: *nod solemnly*

R-chan: Good. I'm glad that's settled. *pause* *frowns* *finally continues* And for the love of all that's... erm... unholy, I guess? Please don't sort it out two minutes before I have to go to my parents for dinner. That... it just isn't nice when you do that to me. Especially this time, as it'll have me blushing my way through dinner. *blush*

Nuriko/Tasuki: *more nods*

R-chan: OK. Good. That's... good. OK.

Nuriko: OK.

R-chan: Right.

Nuriko: *sweatdrop* I'll... just drag him off and try to get this sorted out, OK?

R-chan: *blushing harder* That... that might be a good idea.

Nuriko: *drags Tasuki off*

R-chan: *whimpers* *drops head into her hands* What the hell have I gotten myself into?

zoicite rocks and is so much better at icons than me. But that's OK. ^_^ I still enjoy making them, anyway.

Starring one of my favorite lines in the show, the other being: "You deliver your message to one who already knows it," in response to Hermes' listing off of Zeus' plans for further tortures to try to bully Prometheus into telling his secrets. ^_^

And in other news... I think Nuriko wants to be on top and it's fucking me up. *scowls* Taking another stab at this thing.

Edit (10:21 PM): Yes! I finally have Nuriko in the right frame of mind to go after Tasuki. *rubs hands together gleefully* Let's do this thing. ^___________~

*throws hands up in the air in frustration* How the hell do you get two characters to stop talking and start doing something interesting without it seeming contrived? This feels entirely too fake. *grumbles* And I think I've read it before. Damn it. *kicks story*

Doesn't help that I have to leave to go to class in like... 30 minutes, either. *sigh* I don't write well under time pressure... last year's NaNoWriMo excepted.

1) Saw Priscilla for the fifth time last night, met some awesome people from Australia, should have gotten their e-mail addies and become penpals. Didn't. Oh well. Ate Priscilla cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery. O.M.G. *_* Yum.
2) Stayed up way too late. Oi.
3) Got up early to drive up to Boston with

5) All three of us went to dinner and saw Prometheus Bound. OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG! Awesome show, not coherent enough to do a review justice right now. Damn it. But seriously... I'll at least give you a little:

Prometheus got it bad in this show. Poor baby. But Gavin Creel's performance was unbelievable. Favorite line? Hermes has just gotten done telling Prometheus of all the new tortures that Zeus has in store for him if he doesn't spill his secrets. Prometheus' response? In a totally dead, bitter-as-gall voice, he cuts Hermes' knees right out from under him, "You tell this to someone who already knows." Translation? "Bite. Me."

Also, the three woman playing the daughters of air had some unreal harmonies going on. They gave me chills once or twice.

And, dude... Oceanus totally had it bad for Prometheus. Like... "I'll get Zeus to free you so you can be my sex slave" level bad.

*tiny voice* Is it bad that I almost wish someone would write that fic? -.-;;;

6) While driving through Cambridge, we passed a bar called Bukowski's... and now I want to write a fic where Claude owns a bar. O_O;;; The thing is... I can kind of almost see how it could work, too. *twitch* Except, damn it, I had other plans for him in the third Algea sequel! *grumps* Ah, poo. I'll figure it out somehow.
