Dear Yuletide Author,

First and foremost I'd like to offer up a huge "Thank You!!" to you for being willing to write a story for me. I know how difficult it can be to put any part of your creative process into the hands of another individual, so I will treat that trust with the care and respect it deserves by not being too greedy or selfish. I am already happy that you are willing to write a story for me in a fandom of my choosing and with characters of my choice. It would be the icing on the cake if you are willing to include my other requests, as well, but ultimately if they don't work for you, please feel free to ignore them. ^_^

(For some of these, I don't have specific prompts in mind. Having done these challenges before, I realize that can be both a blessing and a curse. :-P So, for those for which I have no prompt, I'll try to tell you what I like about those fandoms and characters to at least give you a little guidance. Of course, as mentioned above, you're welcome to ignore everything I say if it doesn't work for you. ^_~ Onward!)

Also… I want to add this as a disclaimer. The length of my babble for each fandom IN NO WAY indicates a preference level. For example, I'm going to be more verbose about Island City than the others, mostly because I'm assuming that no one else knows what it is… since no one offered it and no one else requested it. Other than that, length of verbosity has more to do with where I was when I wrote that segment of the letter and how many plotty thoughts I have on each show than on which one I like most. ^_^

You are free to utilize any prompt I toss out there or none of them. If reading what I like about the characters/worlds sparks a fic idea in your head, feel free to ignore the prompts and run with it. ^_^

Mild angst, longing, cuddling by the fire, stereotypical winter activities, mild sarcasm, romance, and friendship.

I WANT TO WRAP MYSELF UP IN THIS STORY LIKE A BLANKET AND TAKE IT WITH ME EVERYWHERE. Seriously, the slow build of friendship and then into love between Olive and Violet is so perfect and SO sweet and it's everything I could have ever wanted out of a Yuletide. Seriously. You need a pick-me-up or some warm fuzzies? Go read. It will make your heart heart a little at first, but the ending made me happy cry. *_*

Summary: Yuuto is depressed, Tatsuki has homework to do.

UGH. WHY ARE MY GIFTS SO PERFECT? (WHY AM I ALL CAPSLOCK THIS MORNING? O_o;;; Must be the squee. ^_~) Anyway, I love this little manga and it seems to have SUCH a small following in the Western half of the globe and what little it has seems to focus on Tatsuki and Kotarou. Do not get me wrong -- I adore the hell out of the two of them and their screwball love me/hate me relationship... but it's all I really see. And my pet 'ship in this world is Tatsuki and Yuuto -- they're with each other far more than either is with Kotarou, because they're always thrown into dangerous situations, working together to save Kotarou. And they develop this almost symbiotic relationship that is just amazing to watch unfold... and no one else ever seemed to agree! This story? This story captured every nuance of that relationship PERFECTLY all while dishing up some of the most delicious emotional H/C... just like the series itself *_* LOVE.

AND HERE WE HAVE KISSING. (Again with the capslock... geesh. ^_~) This story is kind of a mirror idea to the one above it. In the first, we see the effects of Yuuto's "absence" (emotional or otherwise) from Tatsuki's point of view and here we get it from Yuuto's. I love all his little asides about how gorgeous he is (and he is ^_~) and how, from within this story, you can see how it's just a pathetic attempt to bolster his own ego since no one else will do it for him. And then Tatsuki steps in and PICKS UP THAT SLACK FOR HIM WHEN HE DIDN'T EXPECT IT. AW. ^_^ And then Tatsuki actually manages to surprise Yuuto with that kiss. SO sweet. ^_^

In short? I have wonderful gifts this year. I never did a rec post for my gifts last year, and for that, I'm truly sorry because I had wonderful gifts then, too. This year, however, I felt compelled to say something because I KNOW I'm the only one who requested Hands Off! and I'm one of maybe two or three who requested Winter Song, so I don't expect these fandoms (and thus these fics) to get a lot of love... AND THEY ALL DESERVE IT. So, if you have a minute or two and these sound interesting... please go read them and tell my writers how amazing they are. Because they are. ^_^
