Weight Loss Update
Nov. 30th, 2009 12:51 pmWell, it's the end of Week 6 on Weight Watchers for me. This past week was Thanksgiving week and then I went to my aunt's house for dinner on Saturday, too. O_o;;; Most people fail at WW this time of year -- there are too many goodies and we're all only human, right? Right. Well, the true failure is not if you have that slice of pumpkin pie or even if you put back on 3 lbs. The failure is if you don't pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get back on track the next week. I confess, I didn't track myself on Thanksgiving. I just assumed I ate too much. Not the best way to go about it, I know, but I had decided that I didn't want to focus on weight loss that day and if I paid for it... *shrugs* ...I paid for it. Regardless, though, I was going to go to my damned meeting on Sunday morning if it killed me. That's my morning and I wanted it -- even if I didn't want to know what the scale would say. And that, my friends, is success. ^_~
So, I went to the meeting on Sunday, feeling fat and having already accepted whatever weight gain the scale would show. Only... joke's on me. Apparently, my subconscious has already figured out this whole "portion control" idea and was quite happy managing without my conscious mind. Not only did I not gain weight this week... I lost 1.6 pounds. O_o;;; Go, subconscious!
For those of you keeping track... that makes a total of 14 lbs. gone, never to return. And three pairs of jeans that I can no longer wear... because they're too big!! *beams* I fit into my size 18s again. *more beaming* And as for my favorite jeans from vet school (the pretty ones with the embroidered flowers on them), I can button and zip them... and they're a size 16!! *bounciebounciebouncie* A little too tight to wear just yet... but that's not the point! ^_~
*coughs* Anyway... that's all I had to say. Hope you all had a great holiday!
