Well, it's the end of Week 6 on Weight Watchers for me. This past week was Thanksgiving week and then I went to my aunt's house for dinner on Saturday, too. O_o;;; Most people fail at WW this time of year -- there are too many goodies and we're all only human, right? Right. Well, the true failure is not if you have that slice of pumpkin pie or even if you put back on 3 lbs. The failure is if you don't pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get back on track the next week. I confess, I didn't track myself on Thanksgiving. I just assumed I ate too much. Not the best way to go about it, I know, but I had decided that I didn't want to focus on weight loss that day and if I paid for it... *shrugs* ...I paid for it. Regardless, though, I was going to go to my damned meeting on Sunday morning if it killed me. That's my morning and I wanted it -- even if I didn't want to know what the scale would say. And that, my friends, is success. ^_~

So, I went to the meeting on Sunday, feeling fat and having already accepted whatever weight gain the scale would show. Only... joke's on me. Apparently, my subconscious has already figured out this whole "portion control" idea and was quite happy managing without my conscious mind. Not only did I not gain weight this week... I lost 1.6 pounds. O_o;;; Go, subconscious!

For those of you keeping track... that makes a total of 14 lbs. gone, never to return. And three pairs of jeans that I can no longer wear... because they're too big!! *beams* I fit into my size 18s again. *more beaming* And as for my favorite jeans from vet school (the pretty ones with the embroidered flowers on them), I can button and zip them... and they're a size 16!! *bounciebounciebouncie* A little too tight to wear just yet... but that's not the point! ^_~

*coughs* Anyway... that's all I had to say. Hope you all had a great holiday!

That's fantastic news! *squees and hugs* Next time you're at the market, swing by the water aisle and pick up two gallon jugs of water. The weight of those jugs is just two pounds shy of the amount of weight you've lost. I can guarantee you you'll break into a goofy grin - that's a lot of weight to lose! *hugs again* I'm so happy for you!

^_^ *hugs* Thank you! I'm happy for me, too! *beams* The two gallon jugs is impressive -- I know they're sure heavy to carry. O_o;;; What I've been doing is counting it in the weight of people and pets I love. (i.e. -- when I'd lost 6 1/2 lbs. I had lost a newborn Emma ^_^ and when I'd lost 11 1/2 lbs, I'd lost a Gabriel. *eg*) I'm not sure who's 14 lbs., though... Any of your kitties qualify? :D

Sierra does, unfortunately.. but she's losing weight rather quickly with all the new exercise she's getting. We're hoping to get her down to a more acceptable weight by her next vet visit.

@_@;;; Well, here's wishing her as much success with her weight loss as I'm having with mine. ^_~ *snugs*

I know, I know.. I don't understand why she weighs so much more when my other two are slender and sleek. My only guess is that since she was a stray, she got used to eating whatever she could when she could, and just hasn't yet realized that no one's going to take her food here.

On the upside, she's already lost a pound and a half as of her last vet appointment which was back in August, and she's still slimming down.

*cheers* ^_^ Go Sierra! That's a pretty significant weight loss for that amount of time for a kitty. ^_^
