eirenicalSo, I've actually been playing around with making icons -- all text based, of course, as I have virtually no artistic talent. :-P ^_^ Anyone want to hazard a guess where this one's from without peeking at the tags? ^_^ I even gave the character name as a hint. *eg* Gotta love Gabriel -- he is the king of snark! ^_^ And... ironically enough the ultimate inspiration for me choosing my new kitty's name. ^_^ *eg* *sigh* Now if there was only more Gabriel/Rob slash... ^_^
Anyway, why this entry? I have kitty pictures! *beams* And in honor of the fact that I'm going to the shelter tomorrow to officially lay claim, I thought I'd share! ^_^ Also, I was right -- mom doesn't like the name Gabriel. *snickers*
Mom: "What would you call him? Gabe? Gabby?"
Me: *twitch* Probably Gabe, but likely whatever I feel like -- i.e. "little one", "baby boy", "kitten", etc.
Mom: I like those better.
Me: Mom! Why don't you like it?
Mom: It's not easy to say. *elongated and sarcastic* Gay-Bree-Ell-luh.
Me: *double twitch* Sure, when you say it like that!
*sigh* Mothers. An inexplicable force in the universe. *chuckles* Personally, I love the name Gabriel. I think it's pretty. And so did everyone else I asked. *sniff* So there.

*twitch* And exactly how is that comfortable Gabe?
Chester: At 22 years old, diabetic and in chronic renal failure, he's still king of the hospital and the only kitty in residence who can catch a mouse. Go Chester!
Reeses Pieces (or Pieces for short) came to the hospital three years ago as a little kitten. She had severely broken legs and no feeling/ability to move in her tail or back legs. She is waited on hand and foot and is the darling of the hospital. ^_^
And another of Pieces 'cuz she's just so darned cute! ^_^
