Honeymoon's over
Jul. 5th, 2006 10:48 pm*sigh* 'Twas nice while it lasted...
Don't get me wrong. I still love my job. I still love my mentor-vet. I still love the people I work with and I'm improving in knowledge and skill in leaps and bounds.
Funny how all of that just doesn't matter when you find out that one of your bosses is sort of pissed at you. *more sighing* She told my mentor-vet that her dog had a simple case of bloody diarrhea when the reality was that she had told me (when the incident occurred) that the dog had "gone into the woods a few days ago and hadn't been right since then and was now vomiting and having bloody diarrhea". I referred her straight to the emergency hospital being worried about a potential foreign body that had been sitting there for "a few days". Especially since I was on my own in the hospital that day. *twitch* I think I made the right choice. Maybe I was wrong, who knows. This is the same owner who took her other dog off of her life-saving heart medications after a month because she didn't think they were necessary anymore. ((Granted her other vet had a hand in that one, but still...))
*grr* To my mentor-vet's credit, once she heard my version of the events that was the end of the story as far as she was concerned. I just still have a feeling that this is going to come back around and bite me in the ass. *grumbles* And now I'm probably not going to sleep tonight. I'm already feeling worked up enough that sleep is going to be an elusive fantasy unless I do something drastic... like take a Tylenol PM.
*chibi kicks over a garbage can* Bloody stupid bosses. I wasn't even supposed to have to manage anything on my own until a month from now. Shows how well they keep their promises. Stupid people.
*eyes above rant/whine-fest* Wow... now I know I'm tired. And possibly PMSing... Interesting. Wish I had the energy to fic...
*chibis all flee in terror*
*chibi blinks innocently* Was it something I said?
