...But what a glorious illness. *_* *drool*

But first, a word from our sponsors:

I am an absolute slash fanatic. This is nothing new, of course. But every now and again, I manage to amaze even myself with the lengths that I will go to to read slashy goodness into something really very innocent. *sweatdrop* Take tonight, for example...

I've been in Las Vegas since Sunday afternoon for the Western Veterinary Conference. I'm staying at the Excalibur -- total blast, BTW. ^_^ Goodness, I love this hotel. It's all... Medieval-y. ^_^ Anyway... My friend from vet school and I decided to go see the "Tournament of Kings" (the tamer of the two shows playing at the Excalibur). It's your basic Medieval Times, no silverware, pounding on the tables dinner show. I'm always up for such an event but tonight was better than usual. *leers*

First of all, we were in the "Ireland" section. Second of all... <3 <3 Our king was *gorgeous*. <3 <3 Dark hair which always fell just over his right eye, dark eyes, built, yet on the slim side, soft-spoken... *blinkblink* Yes, I'm a drooly fangirl. What do you want from me?

Anyway, there were 6 other kings in the tournament and presiding over them all was Arthur (yes, that Arthur) and his son... Christopher. *sweatdrop* Yes... Mordred was the evil sorcerer. *pause* I think I'll let that one slide... So. Christopher... of the blond hair and blue eyes, still mostly a boy in the body of a man. Do we all see where this is headed? You all know me, you ought to have it figured out by now. ((And if you do, you got it before I did. It sort of snuck up on me three quarters of the way through the show...))

I submit into evidence, my gentle lords and ladies, defense exhibit 1: When fighting the evil Dragon Knight, all the of the Kings are getting the crap beat out of them. When Christopher runs over to join them, he assists one (and only one) to his feet and then precedes to fight with him side by side. Yep, you guessed it. King Ireland, himself. ^_^

I submit into evidence, my fine lads and wenches, defense exhibit 2: When fighting the Dragon Knight (again), all of the Kings are defeated and lying motionless on the ground as Christopher is getting himself run 'round the arena like the snot-nosed little kid that he is. One King (and again, only one) struggles to his feet to attack the Dragon Knight in defense of his lord. Of course he gets his throat slit and his neck snapped -- overkill, don't you agree? -- by the Dragon Knight for his efforts. Christopher was quite anguished *sniffle* and used the new source of angst *sob* to finally defeat and otherwise kill, maim and injure the Dragon Knight. Who was this brave soul who laid down his life to save the new King? Got it in one! It was King Ireland, again. ^_^

Of course... Dear King Ireland walked off the battlefield on his own and managed to ride his horse out for the encore... *twitch* But that's OK. ^_^ It just means that there could be fanfic. You know. If there wanted to be. *sheepish grin* But there probably shouldn't be... Because, you know... that'd be lame. And really dorky. And... just downright pathetic. Really. So I'm not gonna do it.

*chibi wrings hands* A little help anyone?

Nuriko: *shakes head* Nope.

Tasuki: *shrugs* I got nothin'.

Oishi: As long as it doesn't involve us, I'm OK with it.

Eiji: And if we get to read it afterwards, I'm all for it!

Oishi: *shocked* Eiji!

Eiji: *sheepish grin* Sorry... it was the dark hair falling into his eyes... and the dark eyes... and the slight yet firm build... and the soft-spoken nature... and the fighting side-by-side... *gooey fanboy eyes at Oishi*

Oishi: *misty-eyed* Eiji...

Eiji: *glomps the Oishi and does Unmentionable Things to him*

R-chan: *sweatdrop* Boy, he's good.

Nuriko: *eyes Tasuki* *sighs*

Tasuki: *catches The Look* *drags Nuriko off for some Unmentionable Things of their own*

R-chan: *satisfied* ^_^ *goes back to drooling over King Ire-- oh hell, we'll call him "Sean" -- and Christopher*

Sean: *shudders* Oh dear Lord. She's given me a name. I'm doomed.

Christopher: *leers*

R-chan: *smirk* Going to bed, now. *waves* Later!

As for tonight... *_* *_* Renee-chan got to see "Thunder From Down Under" tonight... *happy drooly-ness* Now normally, Seimei, I'd agree: I don't tend to go for the overly buff manly types. But even I'll make the occasional exception. *_* And boy were they worth the exception. I got to see one of them up close and very personal -- thanks to the nice grandmotherly type next to me who apparently caught his eye -- and I got my picture taken with them after the show. H_H H_H Will scan once I'm back home. *nodnod* Anyway, so totally worth it.

*chibi realizes that she is becoming incoherent* O_o;;; Chibi tired. Need sleep. Long day tomorrow. :-P Going hotel hopping (to see all the pretty ones), then going on a bus tour to Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam. Very excited. Then I get to hang with my friend one last time *sniffle* then it's off to the airport at 8:30 for my plane at 10:30. *sweatdrop* Renee-chan is going to be one very tired chibi when all is said and done... But a happy and satisfied one, at least. *g*

*waves to all* G'night!
