So... went to see Hair #9 in Hartford today with a friend from LI. Easy trip up, had a picnic in the park for lunch, then went to see the show. She. Loved. It. *_* Totally got it. All of it. She understood that the nude scene is not about sex, that's it's about freedom and shared vulnerability with Claude... that's it's beautiful, not tawdry. She even picked up on the Claude/Berger without my help. (Side note: And I swear I saw Steel and Paris kiss at one point -- probably wasn't actually on the lips, but it was close enough for government work. Those boys make me So. Ridiculously. Happy. *_* And there was another adorable moment that I'd missed before during Good Morning, Starshine. When Berger finally drags Claude to his feet, despite him clearly not wanting to leave the intense cuddle session he and Berger have going on, Berger dragged him down into the audience and they sat together for a minute, cuddling again. Then Berger jumped up and dragged him onto the stage to do a quick step around the circle with him. On the second turn around the circle, Berger dropped one hand from it's ballroom dance position to place it on Claude's ass and used it to scoop him into a lift. He carried him for the next several steps before dropping him back to his feet, again. OMG... it was priceless. *_*) *chuckles* She was so overwhelmingly convinced by the Claude/Berger, in fact, that she completely missed Claude's crush on Sheila. Completely. *snickers*

In other news, it's official. Caren Lyn Tackett is my favorite Sheila. In spite of her "I belong in a mental ward" interpretation of the "Berger you're so crazy" line and her overly pedantic rendition of Good Morning, Starshine, she is still my favorite... well, possibly excepting Jackie Burns, but honestly, I don't remember the one time I saw her understudy enough to really compare. I love her interpretation of the character, how in spite of Sheila's holier-than-thou attitude, Caren's Sheila clearly has flaws and insecurities. I love that she gets angry and we can see the occasional flash of jealousy in her eyes. And the deeper alto tones of her voice are actually better suited to Sheila's songs than I'd have ever have thought possible. I love her more and more each time I see her and I totally wasn't expecting that.

I told her so at stage door (that she was now my favorite Sheila) and she seemed genuinely happy and touched by it. I'm guessing she doesn't hear it that often, but I honestly don't care if my opinion isn't shared by the masses. I love her Sheila and I'm sticking to it. *nods firmly*

Also, as much as I adore Phyre Hawkins and was sorry to see her out, Tanesha Ross kicked ass as Dionne today. And NICOLE LEWIS IS BACK, OMG, OMG, OMG!!! *SQUEEEEEE!!!!!!!* ^_^

*coughs* Anyway, my friend joined me for the dance party even though she'd sworn she wasn't going to (Hee. ^_^ I totally knew better, but I left it to her to figure out on her own.) I also talked her into stage dooring with me and she was actually kind of excited to do so and thought it was really great to get to talk to the actors and tell them how much she enjoyed the show. It was bright and sunny and warm and beautiful, there was almost no one at the stage door (maybe 10 of us, at most?), and almost everyone came out. No Paris or Steel, though. Still, I got to see both of them on stage, so... *shrugs* No big. ^_^ And Caren loved my dress. ^_^ (Pictures to come tomorrow when I'm not so exhausted. O_o;;;) Also, I was recognized from Facebook by a fellow stage-doorer. O_o;;; I have arrived... yikes. -.-;;;

Anyway, we then went back to the car and drove over to the Elbow Room to meet zoicite and her friends for a wonderful dinner (they were going to the 8 o'clock show ^_^), then headed home. And my friend let me babble at her about Hair, the different casts, and Gavin Creel for three hours. That's how you know it's real friendship. ^_^

Then I got home and randomly churned out my first full Hair story since The Zorya. It was brought on by the Be-In scene -- specifically Josh's line as Claude's father, "My son doesn't like me... etc." -- and it's Pure. Smut. My G-d, it's as close as I'm ever going to get to a PWP. I guess once that wall comes crashing down, it crashes hard. O_O;;; And I've been promising them sex for a while. I'm actually happier with this one than I am with Nuriko and Tasuki's (Sorry guys! -.-;;;) but I think that's because I hooked into an imagery that I liked and was able to forgo a lot of the mechanics. *sweatdrop* In any case, I need to give it a good read-through before I post it, but it should go up sometime tomorrow unless I find something glaring.

Edit (4:21 AM): Ah! I remember when the kiss/almost kiss was! And it followed another scene I wanted to mention. I love what Paris and Steel do for Walking in Space. I've discussed it before. I noticed something new today. Gavin used to sit up to shotgun the joint to Will... Steel leans his entire body over Paris with one hand braced on Paris' chest to shotgun the joint to him while he's still laying on his back on the floor. *_* Then, when they sat up and Steel curled around Paris, that was when I thought I saw them kiss. But I was seeing it kind of from behind as I was to the left side of the stage, so now I'm not sure. :-P Still. LOVE THAT MOMENT.

OK, this time I really do think I'm done. O_o;;;

(And yes, I really did wake myself up out of a sound sleep from remembering that and actually pulled out my computer to type it up before I forgot. O_O I'm... gonna go back to sleep, now...)

I want to see this porn you speak of lol i'm so glad you had fun and i love caren as sheila her mimi didn't impress me too much but she rocks as sheila. I love that you got up at 430 to edit your post lol i was up at 530 but that was a bathroom trip lol no computer. So looking forward to our weekend in the city can we get cupcakes lol i had a dream about them last night i have no clue why?

Oh, you will. I'm probably gonna post it sometime today, but it's got some minor, stupid kinks that need working out and I don't have time to do it right now. :-P

I know. I'm pathetic and kind of obsessed. *sweatdrop* But I'm still glad I did it. Once I got it out of my head, I fell right back asleep. ^_^ And what a sleep it was... *happy purrs*

Never saw Caren as Mimi (and that seems like a bit of an odd fit), but her Sheila is fabulous. *_* Love. Her. So glad you agree!

And we can totally get cupcakes, but they don't have the Priscilla ones anymore. *sadness* That being said, zoicite had a different one from there (forget which, but I think lemon or vanilla may have been involved) and I had one of their lemon squares and it was OUT OF THIS WORLD AWESOME. So, yeah, I have no objections. ;)

yeah caren as mimi was an odd fit and adam totally overpowered her but she fits well with paris and steele, i don't think it would work with will and gavin though. disappointed in the no priscilla cupcake but we can make it work lol i'm also going to work on something in between cleaning the house... oh fun.

I know. Priscilla cupcakes were awesome. I'll tell you what -- for my birthday, my mom is actually going to make me pistachio cupcakes (and I am going to try to find a not-so-ridiculous recipe for pistachio buttercream). If it works out well, we can either try to save you one or just have a repeat when you come down the next week. I mean... we'll have all Saturday to bake, if we choose. ;D

Yesterday at the end of Hair, Paris and Steel ended with Paris's usual running leap onto Steel's shoulders (it always looks like Steel just barely grabs him securely and it freaks me out just a tad every time that Paris might keep going and land head first on the stage. When Will's Berger used to do that with various Claude's, it was a much less acrobatic and more SECURE looking lift, not "hey, I'm going to FLING myself at you, but hey, I'm pretty light, so you better catch me!" that Paris has going). Anyway, after Steel stopped Paris from flying head first toward the stage, they did their usual shenanigans during the applause, and then somehow Paris ended up completely upside down with like his legs wrapped over Steel's shoulders so he was able to let go with his hands and just hang there upside down by his legs (and steel was not holding onto his legs either, which made it kind of impressive). He then wrapped his arms around Steel's waist for a while and then FINALLY Steel bent so that Paris could reach the ground and he kind of slid/crawled off backwards onto the stage. It was all very acrobatic.

OMG, I know! I kind of love how it's always different, though. And it kind of gives them free license to do whatever the hell they feel like to each other -- I point you to the flinging and the simulated sexual position from Hershey. ^________^ I seem to remember Steel carting Paris around the stage a bit yesterday like he did in New Haven and Paris kind of clinging to him for dear life until he was let down.

*snerts* And what you described is totally what Steel did with Caren when they came down into the audience to sit on the aisle and peruse the Playbill. ;D I would have loved to see him do it with Paris! (Though this all makes you wonder if Paris has any idea what's coming when he flings himself at Steel. Because once he's airborne, he gives up pretty much all control over what Steel does (i.e. -- the look on Paris' face in Hershey when Steel tossed him in the air was priceless, though I'll admit my heart jumped into my throat when I realized that it couldn't have been planned). Talk about a level of trust, man.

I KNOW. O_O But... I kind of love it. Something about how Steel!Berger loves showing off his strength in that moment, like he's some barbarian that's carting his bride off somewhere for, you know... shenanigans. ;)

(And, incidentally, this was why the Gavin!Claude v. Paris!Claude head canon was screwing with my head so much, in my fic. Because as I was writing my descriptions, I had this sudden realization of... "Holy crud... no matter how strong Will!Berger is... he would not be able to manhandle a Gavin!Claude like this." O_O As you said, it would have to be planned and secure and Gavin!Claude would have to help. So... physically speaking, for the purpose of that fic, it almost has to be Steel!Berger and Paris!Claude. Physically, it's the only way that that sex could work. -.-;;;)
