I have 2266 words of Priscilla fanfic and still going strong. This feels like a one-shot with potential, but I don't have an entirely clear read on it yet. Here's hoping. ^_^

And what's this I see...? Hints of Bernadette/Tick...? *twitch* EH......???? -.-;;;

LIKE

Also, I believe I approve of Bernadette/Tick. You should go with that.

I... I was kind of hoping you'd say I was nuts. O_O;;;

I'll tell you though, I always find it interesting that as I'm writing fanfiction, observations I've made about the show but don't want to admit to myself that I've made start creeping in there. The Bernadette/Tick undercurrent was one such thing. I didn't want to admit to myself that I'd seen it, then I started writing and... WHAM! ...there it was. O_o;;; *sigh* Oh well. Guess this one'll be a monster. We have a bit of denial to work through... ^_^

You actually thought I might say that you were nuts? Really?

This is sort of random, but have you read Trans-Sister Radio by Chris Bohjalian? I remember it being a really interesting novel and it seems relevant to your interests (I wish I'd remembered to rec it back when you were writing that paper. Ah well)

Erm... yeah. Since we had both agreed on the obviousness of the Tick/Adam, thing. And because I thought I was nuts. O_o;;;

I haven't. ^_^ What's it about? (And don't feel bad about not having rec'd it earlier. I probably wouldn't have had time then to read it, anyway. ^_^)

Ah, no, I can totally see where you're coming from with Tick/Bernadette. I'm not generally one of those tunnel vision O!T!P! kind of fans. And hey, yesterday I contemplated writing Adam/Marion.

Book synopsis:
When schoolteacher Allison Banks develops a crush on university professor Dana Stevens, she knows that he will give her what she needs most: gentleness, kindness, passion. Her daughter, Carly, enthusiastically witnesses the change in her mother. But a few months into their relationship, Dana tells Allison his secret: he has always been certain that he is a woman born into the wrong skin, and soon he will have a sex-change operation. Allison, overwhelmed by the depth of her love, finds herself unable to leave him—but by deciding to stay she must face questions most people never even consider. Not only will her own life and Carly's be irrevocably changed, she will have to contend with the outrage of her small Vermont community and come to terms with her lover's new sense of self—and hope against hope that her love will transcend their ingrained notions of what it means to be a man and a woman.

Oh, that's totally true. ^_^ I don't tend to go OTP!, either. If it's well written, I'll at least give it a shot, though there are pairings that make me twitch.

*squares shoulders* OK. Tick/Bernadette, it is. ^_^

And you know... I could kind of almost see the Adam/Marion thing. O_O;;; I'll even fess up that there was a small part of me that (as I was wondering what to do with Bob if I hook Bernadette up with Tick) was contemplating some Bob/Adam. O_O;;; I mean... we've already established that Bob has a thing for the young'uns... ;)

Ooo... sounds like an interesting read! I definitely have to look that up. ^_^ Thanks!
