My last paper is done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

^_^ Finals went very well and were, in fact, frighteningly easy. I was kind of excited by that. ^_^ Anyway, I handed in my one paper on Wednesday and the professor finally confirmed that she received it late last night (it somehow ended up in her spam folder O_o;;;) and I just shipped off the last one. I must say... I'm actually rather proud of this 25 page brute of a paper of mine. ^_^ Gender Identity Disorder is a fascinating subject and one which needs to be better understood. I think I did a pretty decent job of exploring it, but that's my wholly biased opinion. ^_^

*coughs* Anyhoo, that last paper puts a nail in the coffin of the semester. Now it's all over but getting the grades. ^_^

And in celebration, tomorrow I get to go into the city with [livejournal.com profile] zoicite to run around and look at all the pretty Christmas things, stare at all the lovely items in stores that I can't even come close to affording (except maybe a hat... I kind of think I need a winter hat O_O), eat dinner at my favorite French restaurant, Le Rivage (thank again, Mom!), and see a show. What show? Erm... I have no idea. ^_^ TKTS, baby. Whatever's available and cheapest. ^_^ I will also be attempting to teach my dear friend the layout of Penn Station. That... should be interesting. ^_^ Much fun to be had by all!!

In other news, I finally got my disability insurance guy the information that he claims he never received (in spite of fax confirmations to the contrary and the fact that when I pointed that out he "found" it in my file two seconds later). I swear... for the amount of this guy's work that I do, they should pay me a retainer in addition to my monthly check. :-P So, I should have a nice three-month backpay check in the mail as we speak. Also moving along on the other disability company that owes me money and when that gets in place, I should have about 6-9 months worth of backpay coming to me. In other words, I will soon be able to breathe a little more deeply again. I can't wait. I don't like financial stress. It kind of sucks.

Also, about the winter hat thing... OK, so weight loss is great. It's fantastic. I'm really glad that it's progressing so well. There's just one... little... thing. I'm freaking cold. All. The. Time. What the hell is that about? I don't get cold!!! *whimper* I'm a polar bear. My nickname has been "Nanook of the Frozen North" for as long as I can remember. Winter was kind of my favorite time of the year because it was the one time of the year that I wasn't hot. Now, I step out of my house, whimper, and immediately think... "Fuck, I wish it was summer." Seriously? WTF is that?? I sincerely hope my body readjusts before January/February when it gets really cold. 'Cuz, dude... massive suckage otherwise. ^_^ Although, I have to admit that it was really adorable when I complained of my head/ears/neck being cold outside and my mom pulled out my favorite hat (with pom-pom, ear-flaps, and chin ties, no less) from when I was a kid. The scary thing... it actually didn't look too bad on me. If it had been a little bigger... I might have even worn it tomorrow. ;D

Edit: (10:18 PM) And then to top it all off... there was home-made oatmeal apple crisp and milk. *_* Yummmm...

You should get a job working outside in the winter. After 10 hours freezing your ass off and getting snowed on in 20 degrees that feels like 9 with windchill, 35 starts to feel balmy again. For a few minutes anyway. Shivered all the way back to Port Authority tonight, so it kind of only lasted half a day. I figure i'll probably be acclimatized to working outside in winter again just in time for spring. ;)

You're finished! =) I'm so glad you did all your exams and essays and whatevers easly! =P
And good trip to the city for ya ;D
You don't have at least an idea of what you want to watch? As for myself, I'm gonna watch Hair again >.<
It seemes like I watched it lots of times, but I didn't, this is actually my 3rd time going XD

And about winter... I always hated winter... ¬¬
"Fuck, I wish it was summer." >>> this is something I always say to myself every day in winter. And in here the temperatures are never below 59º (yes, I shamely used a converter, since I have no idea how temperatures are in Farenheit since we use Celsius XD )
And to make it worse, I'm tiny and little, so winter completely hates me and makes me feel cold all the time. SO I have no idea at all at how you guys handle it there! XDD

Thanks! ^_^ And yeah, we didn't plan that specifically. There's a half-price ticket booth that sells all (or most) of the remaining tickets for whatever show is coming up next. It opens about 5 hours before showtime and you basically pick from what's leftover. So it's best not to go in with any preconceived notions of what you want to see. Better to just see what's available when you get there. ^_^

*whimper* I wish Hair was running close enough that I could see it. *sigh* March. I'll be able to see it again in March. *_*

Dude... 59? I wish. It never went above 36 (that'd be about 2 C) today and it was a few degrees colder at certain points. And we were outside most of the day, too. O_O;;; That being said... it's still nothing compared to Kansas where it routinely got to 15-30 below zero with the windchill over the winter (26-34 below ^_^). I'm just not used to it anymore! *whines* Ah well. I lived. ^_^ I just need to wear hats these days. ^_^

Ohhh now I see =)
That ticket booth seemes like God 8D So yes, it's better to go without knowing what you want. I wish we'd have something like that here. But unfortunately musicals are not very popular. At least most people (not all) thinks that musical actors are all awful because musicals is for actors that don't know how to act so they go to musicals because they can mask that ¬¬ How ignorant is that?

Yey! You'll see it in March =) By March, probably, Hair here in Rio will be over >.< So I'm already saving money to go to another 2 times. One I'll go with my mom, because she loves Hair and it's dying to see it since it openened (she just don't shut up about it XD), and another time I'll go on the last day with my friends ^^

And those temperatures are just to freezing for me @.@
I'm not a little creature made for cold weather XD

You know what's weird? Writing papers for work isn't any different than at school. My company offers business writing for the employees still... and even how to write emails etc (esp re confidentiality).

I think I know what you mean about cold!! Next time, I'll know better what to bring if I go to NYC but then again, I'm not sure I'd go in winter again. My friend said I didn't bring enough *winter* clothes... I'm like, what...I don't *have* any ski-type clothes anymore. Layering did work but you only kept warm-ish when you're walking (very briskly). I ended up buying a ear muff and leg warmers.

But! scarves are easy to knit so I need to stop that and move on :D I'm planning fingerless gloves as my next project... socks after that. Hmm, hats...

A friend of mine was working through various hats from Knit Whits. She did a couple of the flower hats for friends' children. http://www.knitwhits.com/online_store/cotton_hats/flore.php. (I think I need to find a lot simpler pattern lol)

No... what's really weird is how many people get out into the real world (or have been there for 15+ years) and still don't know how to do those things! O_O I can't tell you how many of my boss's e-mails would have gotten her fired if they hadn't been filtered through me first. O_O;;;

Yeah... about that... *pokes* What's the deal with you being in NYC and not telling me, huh? *pokepoke* ^_~ Next time you're heading this way let me know and I'll meet you for lunch or something one day! ^_^

Good luck with the knitting, though! ^_^ I do a little knitting, more crochet, though. And lately, I've taken up sewing. ^_^ I do love making stuff. ^_^

Erm, I forgot you were out there? ^_^;; It was a pretty whirlwind trip although if I really planned it out better, I would've flown out from Vegas (was there with parents right before NYC) and would've gotten another day to play.

I did switch back to crochet for a bit. I'm trying out tunisian crochet at the moment. I wanted to try quilting, even got a sewing machine... and the thing has been sitting in it's box for the past 2 years. lol My current project is a scarf for a neighbor and a baby blanket for a co-worker (his wife is due in March). When it's not busy at work, we have mini-sessions at lunchtime where we knit/crochet/cross-stitch... it's very relaxing.
