And the dress is finally finished and had its first outing. It was so much fun to wear! A few tweeks to come if I decide to make another one, but... *shrugs* You live, you learn, right? ^_^

And here it is in all its fall patchworky glory. ^_^ The finished dress. It was so much fun to wear and was a big hit at the BBQ/picnic. ^_^ Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] msorange21 for taking the pictures! :D

And here's the back with its corset lacing. And a huge thank you to my friend Christine for telling me that I would need boning in the back of the dress to stabilize the lacing! ^_^

And in other news, I was visiting one of my favorite little shops (East Coast Psychedelics) and talking to the girl who works there about sewing and such... and she offered that if I made anything and wanted to sell it, she'd be happy to give me space on the racks. O_O How awesome would that potentially be? ^_^ We'll have to see. *eg* Who knows? Could end up with a new career out of this. ^_^

*eg* I don't suppose you'd be up for a trip to New Haven, Connecticut on the 22nd, 23rd or 24th, would you? ^_______________^ OK, that's a little more expensive, but it is 2 months away... *waggles eyebrows*

I only have classes Tuesday-Thursday and I'm busy Monday night, but otherwise, my weekends are pretty clear. We could hit an off-Broadway show or just meet in the city and wander Central Park or something. Or for that matter, you're welcome to come visit and just hang out. ^_^ Whatever works!

wait, what's in New Haven? Hair tour? that's starting in October already? I'm out of the loop. I would maybe be up for that depending on ticket prices, actually! And New Haven isn't THAT far (as long as I-95 cooperates anyway)

*squee* OMG, really??? Tickets are about $70, IIRC. Most of the premium seats are already taken (at least for the Sat/Sun performances), next step down was $68 (plus fees, I'm sure. :-P). We could totally meet there, or you could stop at my place (LI) and we could drive out together. :D Road trip!!

And besides, it's our solemn duty to feed the plot bunnies, isn't it? I've noticed a severe lack of fic lately... from both of us. :-P *stares down her own plot bunnies*

*coughs* And in case you missed it in the babbling, yes, New Haven is the start of the Hair tour -- I know nothing about the cast other than that Josh Lamon is Margaret Mead. No one else is talking, yet. :-P I assume no Gavin or Will, though. :(

I can't commit yet, but give me like a week and I'll let you know. I'm definitely interested, though!

Yes!! :D That would be so awesome!

The sooner you can let me know, the better, though. Seats seem to be going awfully fast. O_O;;;
