eirenicalHalfway through my re-write of Chapter One... Crying every other paragraph. What the hell was I thinking when I posted this? 80% of it isn't salvageable... *weary sigh* But I am determined to get through Ch. 1 tonight! Why? I'll tell you why. Because... because... *sweatdrop* Aw hell, who cares anyway?

12:08 AM Update -- Gabriel nearly sent me into a fit of apoplexy while teaching me that we are going to have to find a new home for the surge protector that is attached to the computer... or at the very least, replace it with one that doesn't have an on/off switch. O_o;;; He was playing with a toy near the surge protector and turned it off while I was working through a scene that was being a real bitch. Thank goodness for MS Word's auto-save function. *wipes brow*
7608 / 10498 words. 72% done!
12:55 AM -- We're in the home stretch! And, my goodness, this sucker's getting long... O_o;;; The initial chapter was only 7759 words... O_o;;;

1:23 AM -- *chuckles at the time* "Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah! The fic is marching on!" *sheepish grin* OK... so I paraphrased. The point is, however, that the Chapter One ReWrite is complete! *cheers* It is 3,444 words longer than the original chapter and (at least at 1:30 AM) it reads much better than the original, too. I am not going to be foolish enough, however, to post it without a sober re-read (and a beta-read...? *hopeful eyes*). Please contact me if you're interested. ^_^ Thanks again!
