Fun with Sewing and Patchwork
Aug. 21st, 2010 08:42 pm*pokes her head up out of the woodwork to post about a little RL fun*
OK, so I've been having more than a little bit of fun with my new sewing machine. ^_^ I discovered a style of dress that I would love to own (see here)... problem is, this person (from the link) isn't making them anymore. :( Solution? Make one myself! ^_^ So, I've been working my way up to it. Made an a-line skirt for myself earlier this week and made this adorable patchwork skirt for my niece over the last couple of days. And I was proud, and wanted to share. ^_^ Enjoy?

| Emma's Skirt Front Ironically enough, finding this pattern (Indietutes' Patchwork Circle Skirt) last month was the final push on the long slide to get me to purchase my own sewing machine. It looked so easy and yet the results were so beautiful and I just had to try it for myself. ^_^ It really was as easy as it sounded and the instructions were phenomenally easy to follow, even for someone who hasn't really sewn anything since 7th grade Home Ec. O_o;;; This was made as a birthday present for my gorgeous soon-to-be-one year-old niece. ^_^ Hopefully pictures of her in it will soon follow! |

| Emma's Skirt Label OK... I saw these in the store and I just had to. ^_^ Who knows, maybe I'll have my own brand, soon...? ^_^ |
