Week 24

Oops. Missed last week's weigh-in entirely. *sweatdrop* Then again, since I was out of state then in a car accident, I think I'll forgive myself. ^_^

Good news? Over the two weeks since my last weigh-in, I lost 1.6 lbs. *cheers* People, I think I'm finally back on track! *beams* That makes a total of... *drumroll* ...33.4 lbs! *throws confetti* And I made my 15% -- that means that I have lost 15% of the weight that I was originally carrying 6 months ago. *bows* Thank you, thankyouverymuch. ^_^

Now if only my body would make up it's mind what size pants it wants to be in. -.-;;; I have a freakin' job interview on Wednesday and I can't find a single pair of slacks in my wardrobe that fits. Which wouldn't be a problem if I could find a pair in a store that fit. O_o;;; I never realized how much I relied on the fact that I could walk into Lane Bryant and pick up a pair of size 18 (or 20 :-P) pants and know they would fit. Now that I don't fit in their sizes anymore (and my sister's forbidden me to shop there ever again...), I find myself in a quandary. Ironically, I find I don't mind. I just don't want to spend $40 on a pair of pants that I may never wear again. -.-;;;

And while we're on the subject, why do women's sizes have to be so variable to start with, huh? Back me up, girls -- how much do you hate walking into a store with a man and watching him pick up a pair of pants? It's fascinating and jealousy-inducing at the same time. They walk in, pick up a pair of pants/jeans/shorts/whatever... and go to the register to buy them without ever trying them on. Why? Because men's pants are actually sized according to measurements. They can walk in and pick up a pair of pants in their size and just know, with 99% surety, that those pants will fit, every time, no trying on required. :-P Sometimes that just makes me sick. *sigh* Stupid men. Proof positive that they control the fashion industry. :-P

Anyway, this got off topic quite some time ago, so I'm gonna shut up. I will just leave you with this parting shot... the June Chorale concert is going to kick major ass. :D As a sample, three of the songs we're doing are "Zip-a-dee-doo-dah," "In the Mood" and "Everybody Rejoice" from "The Wiz." I am so excited for this concert! ^_____________^

:-) So happy for you! I know how you feel about walking in a store. I still have to shop in Lane Bryant... for now! I plan on being as awesome as you are by my birthday ;-) You are the best inspiration!

^_^ Thanks! Don't tell my sister... but I'm thinking of stopping in there and looking for a pair of size 16s just to get me through the interview. O_o Unless I miraculously find a pair at Fashion Bug that fits. *sweatdrop* Running out of time to mess around with it... :-P

I'm glad I can go back to being an inspiration. This last month was really starting to tick me off. :-P And it's funny... my rabbi said the same thing when she saw me Friday night. ^_^ Nothing like having the first conversation with someone after a two month separation go as follows: *jaw drop* "You lost weight! You look fantastic!" *pleased smile* I love my rabbi. ^_^

*pokepoke* BTW, when is your birthday? ^_^

Exactly 4 months from today ;-) August 6. And there will be a party! LOL

Woohoo! ^_^ Mine's in about a little less than a month, but I don't know that I'm planning a party for it. *chuckles*

*sly look* This would be a big one for you, wouldn't it...? *eg* I must think of something special. ^_____^

Ugh. Tell me about it. It doesn't matter what size you are, women's clothing has terrible sizing issues. Not only is there no basic size consistency, even within the same brand AND same style, two pairs of pants with the same size can fit differently. I'm kind if in the same boat you are right now for different reasons. I've gained some weight (which I'm trying to looooooossssseeeeee, grah) so there is almost nothing in my closet that truly fits. There are things I can still wear and things I can't but little that really FITS. I've bought a couple pairs of pants to get me by, but man... I don't even know what size I am right now. Nothing fits. I've tried one size up and sometimes it's too small and sometimes it's too big <- makes no sense. The same with TWO sizes up. Sometimes it's too small and sometimes it's gigantic. Super frustrating. *sigh*

*cuddles* I know... it is totally of the suck. :-P My Old Navy size 14 jeans are too big -- I need a belt to hold them up -- but I'm about 10 lbs away from the size 12s. O_o Then I have size 16 khaki's that are just a little too tight, other size 16s that fit like they were made for me and some size 16s that are too big. Then I go to a store and try on a few size 16s... some of which fit and some of which I'm three inches away from being able to even think of closing. *sweatdrop* There are days that I hate clothing. :-P

*hugs* But I'm sure you'll take it back off. *nodnod* I have faith! *eg* And with all the carbs you couldn't eat for Pesach, it must have been a little easier... right? ^_~
